FOCUS THIS WEEK: Cherries!
Cherry season is in full bloom. Luscious, deep maroon fleshed juicy sweet cherries. When I was growing up, cherries were a rare treat. They came down from the Kashmir valley and by the time they made it to Gujarat, the price tag was steep. Here at home, for roughly two weeks, I cherry pick the cherry to be the fruit of the moment, the edible love of my life and eat them nonstop. I make meals and midnight snacks out of them, utterly grateful that I can eat them to my heart’s content.
Cherries are filled with nutrients like antioxidants and flavonoids, which fight inflammation, improve sleep and help with heart health. They have potassium, which helps with proper body functions and cherries are naturally high in melatonin, which helps regulate our sleep cycle.
This week, we celebrate cherries all over the restaurant. You’ll see them on tarts, on top of our beet rotis, and in our specials.

Paneer Cherry biryani - $26 (Gluten-free, Contains almonds)
A classic biryani with creamy chunks of paneer and speckles of cherries running through it, all washed in ghee. Not too spicy but aromatic and flavorful, this biryani is a crowd pleaser!
