Sheet Pan Okra

From pickled and fried to using it to thicken a stew, there are many ways to enjoy okra here in the South. However, one of the most overlooked and easiest ways to cook okra is to simply roast it. Using seasonings of your choice, spread it on a baking pan and let the oven do the work. If the okra is not young and tender, slice it into wheels or cut it lengthwise. Okra roasted in the oven does not turn slimy. Serve the okra warm or at room temperature. Turn it into dinner by pairing it with a pot of beans and rice, or use it to top a tangy green salad.
